3003 aluminium strips introduction
3003 grade aluminum strip is a common product in the aluminum-manganese alloy series. Superior to having manganese alloy elements, this product has excellent rustproof characteristics and is also known as rustproof aluminum strip. The strength is about 10% higher than 1100, and the formability, solubility and corrosion resistance are all good.
It is used for processing parts that require good forming properties, high corrosion resistance, good weldability, or work that requires both these properties and higher strength than 1000 series alloys, such as kitchenware, food and chemical handling and storage devices, tanks and cans for transporting liquid products, various pressure vessels and pipes processed in thin sheet, general ware, heat sinks, make-up plates, photocopier rollers, and ship materials.
3003 aluminum strips features
3003 is an AL-Mn alloy, which is the most widely used rust-proof aluminum. The strength of this alloy is not high (slightly higher than industrial pure aluminum) and cannot be strengthened by heat treatment, so cold working methods are used to improve its mechanical properties: high plasticity in the annealed state, good plasticity in the semi-cold hardening, low plasticity in the cold hardening, good corrosion resistance, good weldability, and poor machinability.
It is mainly used for low load parts requiring high plasticity and good weldability, working in liquid or gas medium, such as boxes, gasoline or lubricating oil conduits, various liquid containers and other small load parts made by deep drawing.

Applications of 3003 aluminum strip coils
- This series aluminum strip can be used to process plates, strips, foils, thick plates, extrusion pipes, etc. It can be used to produce bars and wires which can be processed with cold working.
- It is used to process parts which require good forming property, high anti-corrosion or good weldability. It can be used to produce parts which not only have these property, but also have higher strength than parts made by the 1000 series aluminum strip, such as the troughs and cans used to transport liquids, pressure cans, storage devices, heat exchangers, chemical equipment, etc.
