The strength of this alloy is not high (slightly higher than industrial pure aluminum) and cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. Therefore, cold working methods are used to improve its mechanical properties: It has a high degree of plasticity in the annealed state. The plasticity is good when it is hardened in semi-cold work. The plasticity is low when cold work hardened. It has good corrosion resistance, good weldability, and poor machinability. 3003 round aluminum coil is the most widely used aluminum alloy. It is made up of aluminum, copper, iron, manganese, silicon, and zinc. It is commonly used because it has great resistance to corrosion and is moderately strong. The 3003 aluminum coil is 20% stronger than 1100 grade alloys because it is fused with manganese, and the formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance are good.

Used for processing parts and components that require good formability, high corrosion resistance, and good weldability, or require both these properties and higher strength than 1000 series alloys, such as kitchen utensils, food, and chemical products.
